Field AED Information

Hello Londonderry families,

The Londonderry Soccer Club and The Londonderry Fire Department have worked together to ensure the AED Unit procedures are available and functioning properly.

The LSC safety procedures have been updated at the recommendation of The Londonderry Fire Department and the emergency professionals with 911.

These updated procedures were provided to the Londonderry Soccer Club community at the start of the Fall 2024 season.

The Londonderry Fire Department has added a third locked AED unit to replace the AED unit kept in the concession stand. This allows for more coverage and accessibility by any users of the West Road field complex. The AED boxes are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The three AED units are monitored and maintained by The Londonderry Fire Department, ensuring all units are up to date, working properly, the pads are in date and the batteries work.

The Londonderry Fire Department monitors the AED units in the controlled boxes around our community not just at the soccer fields.

Access to the locked AED boxes has been tested by LFD. All AED boxes and codes have been confirmed to be in working order. All codes are the same for the three AED units and cabinets located at West Road.

In addition, the 911 dispatch and the Londonderry Fire Department dispatch center both have cabinet door codes. These codes are matched to the address and serial number of the AED units.

As per industry standard, the AED units are in a secured place. Calling 911 not only unlocks the box, but it also allows for the immediate dispatch of emergency personnel and for the 911 operator to assist the caller. Each box is labeled with a plastic water proof tag that lists the exact address and location to be provided to 911.

The Londonderry Soccer Club has listed the addresses within the shared safety procedure email to be sent to membership at the beginning of each season.  LSC is also sponsoring the placement of permanent signs listing the address of the fields throughout the complex.  Temporary signs will be placed across the complex in the interim.

In addition The Londonderry Soccer Club is coordinating with the Londonderry Fire Department to offer an instructional meeting to go over the AED and first aid along with bystander CPR for anyone who would like to attend at the beginning of each season.

The Londonderry Soccer Club is committed to providing the safest environment possible. For this reason we consulted with the Emergency Response professionals in the creation of the LSC safety procedures.

LSC has also reviewed and follows US Youth Soccer health and safety protocols.

The Londonderry West Road Athletic Fields have three AED’s (Automated External Defibrillators) located throughout the complex.

All AED units are locked in a weather-proof tamper-proof case. The code for the AED will be provided by calling 911.

If 911 is called from within 350 feet of any of the AED units 911 will know they are near the AED and direct the caller to said AED box and provide the access code.

If 911 is called from outside of the 350 foot radius the caller will need to provide the address of the field listed below to 911. 911 will be able to provide the AED box code.

The locations of the AED’s are as follows:

-The back side of the Concession Stand between Fields 1 and 2

102 West Rd, Londonderry, NH 03053

-The garage located between Fields 2 and 3

102 West Rd, Londonderry, NH 03053

-The garage across from Field 6

90 West Rd, Londonderry, NH 03053

For minor injuries there is a first aid kit and ice packs located in the concession stand between Fields 1 and 2.  Please note this is available when the concession stand is open on Saturdays during the season

Thank you again in helping support our athletes, coaches and families in providing a safe and fun environment to play soccer.

Sincerely,

Londonderry Soccer Club
