COACHING  
Coach Overview

LSC Express Coaches run a team from nuts to bolts. This position includes sending e-mails to your team to communicate important dates and times, setting up and running practices (U7/U8 and above), coaching during games, and encouraging good sportsmanship and development in your players. LSC will aim to pair two coaches per team as Co-Coaches so the responsibilities can be shared, although both Co-Coaches should aim to be present at all practices and games. On Saturdays, Coaches who have the first games will set-up the field (move on nets, sandbags, flags) and those with the last games will clear off the field.
Upon completion of the season, all Coaches who have not missed more than 3 practices and/or games in total will be reimbursed the full amount paid for the season for their child on the team.

Coordinator Overview and Responsibilities

Coordinators are an integral part of LSC, encompassing either Express specifically (Division Coordinators) or the club as a whole. Responsibilities of coordinator positions are outlined in their respective job descriptions (ie: Division Coordinator, Social Media Coordinator, etc.) available on our website along with the LSC Coordinator application.
Coordinators who carry out their job requirements successfully throughout the season (including pre- and post- season as indicated in the job description) will be reimbursed the fee amount(s) paid for the season for their child(ren) on Rec Express teams according to the tenure matrix below:
First season as a Coordinator = 1 child
Second season as a Coordinator = 2 children
Third season as a Coordinator = 3 children
Fourth season as a Coordinator = 4 children
Every additional season adds an additional qualifying child if applicable. 
Coordinators will not receive any compensation beyond reimbursement for the number of qualifying children registered for the program each season regardless of length of service.

COORDINATOR  

U11/U12 Coordinator

The U11/U12 Coordinator assumes overall responsibility for the smooth operation of the division throughout the season. Responsibilities include assigning Coaches to teams, recruiting additional coaches as necessary, objectively rostering players with regard to age, gender and playing ability with a priority on evenly balancing the teams, and assigning teams in our GotSport computer program. The Coordinator will work with coaches to arrange practice nights and times and check in periodically during the season. The coordinator should be available on some Saturdays to observe games and check in with coaches to ensure things are running smoothly and/or address any issues that may arise throughout the season. 
 
As with all division coordinators, the U11/U12 Coordinator will maintain and encourage open communication with both coaches and parents throughout the season, monitor their LSC email account, and provide division updates at monthly Board meetings. At the close of the season, additional responsibilities include either A.) distributing medals to all division teams for their players or B.) Overseeing Playoffs and distributing trophies (whichever is applicable).  
 
There is a lot to learn but be assured current LSC Board members will be there to help you every step of the way and you will shadow the current U11/U12 Coordinator for your first season in the position.

The Spring season is defined as the time period from March 1st – June 30th. The Fall season is defined as July 15th – November 15th. Division Coordinators are expected to be present at the fields on Opening Day and Closing Day. Expectations for work completed in each of these time periods will be discussed prior to the start date for the season for the purpose of evaluating the fulfillment of requirements for reimbursement of season fees.

Social Media Coordinator

The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for the marketing and promoting of the club and its events through multiple social media outlets. Ensure important information is posted to online sites to include LSC’s Facebook page and other pages, Twitter, and Instagram. 
The Social Media Coordinator will play a pivotal role in obtaining photos of LSC events on both the Recreational and Travel sides and creating a weekly online presence. Visit the fields on Saturdays to take photos and highlight different age divisions each week during the season. Coordinate with coaches and take an active role in overseeing the “Team of the Week” program postings, Top Soccer postings and any special events throughout the season.
The successful Coordinator will be an organized self-starter, possess excellent written communication skills and have proven ability to multi-task, assuming responsibility to post content in a timely manner across multiple sites.

Sponsorship/Fundraising Coordinator

As a key member of LSC, the Sponsorship Coordinator will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with area businesses. They will promote the current sponsorship opportunities offered and also work to design, develop and implement additional programs offering varied tiers of sponsorships to interested parties. This person will be the primary liaison with local businesses to market initial contracts and follow-up each season/year for renewals.

Key responsibilities will include securing sponsorships for the league, exploring corporate sponsorship opportunities, and presenting and implementing fundraising efforts for long-term projects (i.e. installing lights on Field 2). The Sponsorship Coordinator will work closely with LSC’s Facilities & Fields Director and with other members of the Board in regards to any cross-promotional endeavors. They will have the ability to do preliminary research and work with the Treasurer and Board to determine appropriate pricing structure(s) for newly developed sponsorship opportunities.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be familiar with Google Sheets and Google Docs, and be comfortable presenting ideas to the Board at monthly meetings. Previous experience with writing of proposals and/or contracts is a plus. Prior Business Development experience and interest would be a plus but is not required. The Sponsorship/Fundraising Coordinator will complete a child safety background check, as is mandatory for all board members.
